An easy to grow green that is harvested for its strong, distinctive flavored leaves. It is used primarily fresh in salads, but it can also be cooked. Arugula is a leafy vegetable, like lettuce and spinach. It has a peppery, spicy taste and is a member of the mustard family. Plant in sun, but can tolerate some shade.
